Emma Beggs
BSc (Hons)

 

Emma qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in July 2010. She was awarded a second division, upper class Honours degree from the University of Ulster . She is the most recent Physiotherapist to join the team at ‘The Clinic'. Since graduation Emma has pursued her interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy providing physiotherapy support to the U17 Northern Ireland Netball team.

Emma has a keen interest in Pilates and has undertaken accredited training in this exercise technique. Whilst working in the private sector Emma has evidenced the benefits that these exercises have on reducing pain and producing long term positive effect on posture and stability. She is also trained kinesiology taping and has provided lectures on massage technique on the undergraduate physiotherapy degree at the University of Ulster.

Emma also has an interest in the rehabilitation of neurological conditions. Most recently she has been involved in a study with Queens University , Belfast helping people suffering with Parkinson's Disease. As part of the team at ‘The Clinic' Emma is involved in the provision of physiotherapy in the occupational health setting.

Emma is a member of The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and is registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC).
