Sarah Rafferty
BSc(Hons)

 

Sarah qualified with a BSc Honours degree in physiotherapy in June 2009 from Manchester Metropolitan University , before taking up a junior post in the Pennine Acute Hospital Trust in Bury and Rochdale . Sarah rotated through elderly rehabilitation, community physiotherapy and stroke rehabilition, before taking up a post at ‘The Clinic'. This post has allowed her to specialise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy which is her field of clinical interest.

Whilst at ‘The Clinic' Sarah has become accomplished in the assessment and treatment of the spine and peripheral joints. She has completed training in the kinesiology taping which provides lymphatic drainage and pain relief for various musculoskeletal disorders. Sarah has also trained in biomechanical/podiatric assessment and can prescribe corrective orthotic devices which help resolve chronic conditions and prevent injury. Sarah has experience implementing work station assessments providing ergonomic advice allowing the treatment and prevention of repetitive strain injury in the work place. As part of ‘The Clinic' team Sarah works one day per week in an occupational health setting.

Sarah is a member of The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and is registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC).
